The exhibition Karabinovych.jpg presents a series of collages and drawings begun shortly before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, it has become a daily ritual for the artist—a practice of survival, resistance, and obsessive reconstruction.
Drawing from discarded photos, propaganda leftowers, and fragments of language, Karabinovych assembles unstable constellations of memory—part slogan, part poetry, part debris. Each work behaves like a word out of place: a glitch in grammar, a cough in speech.
At the core is beliberda—a term evoking both absurdity and displaced identity, rooted in mimicry and misunderstanding. The collages and drawings unfold as rhythmic errors, stutters, and jokes— cuttings from a world in rupture.
Language slips. The wall becomes a map, a poem, a scream, a mistake. And the act of collage becomes a way to stay alive—one cut at a time.
