TeaFactory, Odesa, Ukraine
November 1, All Saints' Day (Κυριακὴ τῶν Ἁγίων Πάντων), at the "Tea Factory", the opening of the exhibition of Nikolay Karabinovych "Flux" will take place.
The works made within the framework of the "Flux" project are the artist's research of the avant-garde classics, the search for forgotten ways of development. Suprematism is an undeservedly "opposite" direction in the world avant-garde. This project is an attempt to look at this phenomenon with the help of new optics, an attempt to breathe in and return the mystical component.
This is a game of the classics, a postmodern combination of meanings and forms. Extremely geometric compositions suddenly come to life and spread. They are myrrh. At first glance, careless streaks, but upon closer examination - carefully traced and planned lines. A combination of randomness and extremely verified severity. Elements of mainstream post-graffiti and trendy glitch.
An important component of the project is the illumination of canvases in the church, which precedes the process of creating canvases. Before starting work on the work, the artist agrees with the clergyman on the provision of church services, consecration according to the established price list.
